Thing 5
I think RSS is am amazing tool. It can provide you with up to the minute news and information. Google reader is also a great way to handle the information overload. Because there are so many blogs and so much information to take in, it's nice to have a way to get a quick check.I do find the number of blogs out there a bit over whelming and feel like I currently do not have enough time in my day to use it the way it is intended. Hopefully in the future I can make it a goal and will reach it.

Thing 4
Being able to follow many different blogs with one click is so much more convenient that searching them all individually. This could be helpful in teaching by being updated on new ideas and lessons. Also students would be able to reference class blogs and updates easier. I found the subscribe button to be the easiest. Didn't really use the other 2 options. Couldn't find out how to use them, so i didn't.
Thing 3
A blog could support the work I do in many ways. If I had a blog to use with my students I could use it as a homework help blog, where students could blog about questions they have on assignments or projects. I could comment back, or hopefully other students could help answer questions they may have.
I could also have assignments they have to complete using the blog. In the past I have only offered this as extra credit, since some students didn't have access.
I also like the idea of having parents use it to download assignments, ask questions, look up classroom information, or even watch a lesson that happened in class and review it with their student.
My concerns about educational blogging would be that I would create a great teaching tool ,and it would not be utilized and would go unnoticed by the students and parents.

Things 1 & 2
After trying to create a blog and being unsuccessful, even though I already have created a classroom blog, I am annoyed and have confirmed why I have waited to the last minute to complete these assignments. I know the blog is a great tool for the classroom and the students, becasue I have one. But I find that not many students use it. Hopefully I can learn how to engage them more with the blog and make it more useful.
